OK is a shorter version of Oll Korrect ( all correct). It mean accepted. 

In an online conversation, OK is appropriate but full form OKAY should be used while writing a document or essay.

Many explanations for the origin of the expression are prompt, however few are mentioned seriously by linguists. the subsequent proposals have found thought recognition.
